Becoming qualified to work as a lifeguard in the UK is fairly easy. You will need to take The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) which is the most widely recognised lifeguard qualification in the UK & Ireland and is a requirement for most lifeguarding jobs in the country. This course takes around 36 hours to complete.
