Ski and Snowboard Instructors
Help people to learn how to ski and snowboard and work in some of the most spectacular destinations in the world. If you aren’t yet qualified, view our ski instructor courses or snowboarding instructor courses.

Managers
The Manager is responsible for the smooth day to day running of the chalet and team, ensuring that guests’ needs are met at all times. Experience in guest liaison and staff management are vital. Other roles include stock keeping, budgeting, hygiene, supplier relationships and filling in where required. Previous management experience in the deluxe hotel or restaurant field is expected, as is fluent English and French or German (for a lot of European seasonal jobs). Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are essential.

Childcare
Work with children and help them enjoy the most fun holiday. 

Hospitality and Chalet Staff
Roles can include restaurant staff/supervisors/manager, housekeeping, bartender, customer host, nightporter and maintenance/driver. Household admin are responsible for the training and supervising of the maids, daily control of room cleanliness, helping cleaners, housekeeping budgets, guest service and evening room presentation. Previous experience in the deluxe hotel and restaurant sector is usually required.

Chalet Assistants
The Chalet Assistant works closely with the manager in the day to day running of the property, deputising in his/her absence. Principal roles include food & beverage service, management of rooms and housekeeping. In larger chalets there will be a Household Assistant to supervise. It is a broad role where experience in deluxe hotels/restaurants is required.

Chefs and Kitchen Staff
There are so many roles within resorts including chefs, catering and kitchen assistants. Chefs are responsible for all aspects of the kitchen, providing an exceptionally high standard of food and presentation to include simple fun food for children. Working with budgets, health and safety regulations and stock control are an integral part of the job. Experience in quality restaurants, good communication skills, organisation and time management are important.

Assistant Chef
Assistant chefs work closely with the head chef, with particular focus towards afternoon tea and patisserie. Responsibilities also include kitchen cleanliness, washing up, mise en place and helping the team in the chalet with other tasks. If you are lacking experience you might like to take a ski chalet cookery course for extra skills and boost your employment chances.

Health and Beauty
Beauty therapists are hired to work at all the top resorts.

Hotel Management
Do you dream of running your own hotel now or in the future? Gain experience as a hotel manager, assistant or bookkeeper.

Chauffeur
The main role is to drive guests within the resort. Alongside the driving the chauffeur is responsible for minor maintenance, firewood, snow clearing, cleanliness, shopping, maintenance of the vehicles and helping the chalet team wherever possible. Good driving skills are essential. A winter driving course is provided.

FAQ

Requirements
Must be friendly, outgoing, confident, hard-working and able to work independently and with teams. Most positions require no previous ski season experience but if you want a skilled positions e.g. to work as an instructor you will need training and qualifications.

Season dates
Most European winter seasons run from November to April
