Village Camps

Village Camps operate international summer camps in 6 countries for children aged 7-18 with 34 programmes including sport, activity, adventure, arts, language, robotics and leadership camps. Learn French, English or German and participate in exciting summer sports and activities.

For 50 years hundreds of thousands of campers have experienced Village Camps Programmes, helping raise generations of kids and teenagers. Lifetime friends, lifetime memories and even marriages happen as a result of Village Camps!

Many campers come back several years in a row, in some cases right through from the age of 7 to 17. And it doesn’t end there! After turning 18 a good number of campers become counsellors once they reach the age of 21. Around one quarter of our counsellors have had camper experience themselves and carry on sharing it with new generations.

Whether the camp experience is as extended as this or whether it’s just for one summer, it often comes full circle with many Campers sending their own children to camp. There are already three generations of families that have shared their summer camp adventures with Village Camps!

Employment

At Village Camps we have a constant requirement for staff to work in administration, summer camps and we also have jobs all-year round for our outdoor education programmes.

All campers choose a country and base programme for their stay, and with a few exceptions these activities are during the morning period of 3 hours. For the rest of the day campers from all programmes come together for a variety of general camp activities. For more information about individual programmes, please choose below.

Summer Camp Counsellors needed in Austria! Our home is the pretty village of Piesendorf, nestling in the spectacular mountain and lakeside scenery of the Austrian Alps. The welcoming Village Camps Austrian base is limited to just 80 campers who quickly become a ‘family’ in the hands of the caring Village Camps’ counsellor team.

Santa Cruz, Portugal
Opportunities for Summer Camp Counsellors in Portugal! On the West Coast of Portugal, just an hour from the capital Lisbon, our new Portuguese location, Santa Cruz, lies on the dramatic coastline of the Costa de Prata – the ‘Silver Coast’. The majestic cliffs and beautiful beaches make this sun-drenched coastline what many consider to be Europe’s premiere surfing destination.

Geneva and Leysin, Switzerland
Come and work for Village Camps in Switzerland! For a truly rewarding Summer Camp Job in our fabulous dedicated mountain facilities in Leysin. As well as residential camp employees in Leysin, we also require counsellors to run day camps close to Geneva. Summer Camp Accommodation is at the Village Camps owned and operated Swiss Alpine Centre from where campers enjoy great facilities, hearty meals as well as panoramic views across to the distant French Alps.
